Japanese Style Corn on Cob
This is an easy and delightful way to serve fresh corn on the cob.
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- zest of 1 lime
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 2 ears of sweet corn
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, soy sauce, lime zest, and lime juice until smooth.
- Shuck the corn. Char them over an open flame on all sides, turning with tongs. (This may take up to 15 minutes.) Alternatively, the corn may be charred in the broiler 6 inches from the flame. Turn them with tongs at 5 minute intervals for about 15 minutes.
- Insert corn holders. Drizzle corn with sauce and/or roll the ears in sauce.
- Serve hot.
