When just a smidgen of a variety of Italian herbs is called for, a blend of Italian seasonings can come in handy. Here is a homemade version that works out nicely.
Makes about one cup of herbs.
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp basil
- 1 Tbsp oregano
- 1 Tbsp parsley
- 1 Tbsp rosemary
- 1 Tbsp marjoram
- 1 Tbsp granulated garlic
- 1 Tbsp thyme
- 1 Tbsp savory
- 1 Tbsp red pepper flakes
Directions:
- In a pint jar, combine dry basil, oregano, parsley, rosemary, marjoram, garlic, thyme, savory and red pepper flakes.
- Stir well, and remember to stir or shake before each use.
