Yogurt Tahini Sauce

When you make falafels or vegetable trays, Cucumber Sauce is lovely, but what if you do not have fresh cucumbers or Greek yogurt? The recipe below is a great alternative!

Makes about 1 1/3 cups.

Ingredients:

  • 1 c plain yogurt
  • 1/3 c tahini
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp granulated onion
  • 1/2 tsp sumac powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp dry mint
  • 1 tsp dry dill
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)

Directions:

  1. In a pint jar or refrigerator container, stir all ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Serve chilled with chips, vegetable sticks, falafels, or spread on crackers/sandwiches. Refrigerate any unused portion. Will keep about 5 days.
