Plum Sauce Salad Dressing

Plum sauce may be found in the Asian section of your supermarket. It is often used as an accompaniment to spring rolls, egg rolls, and Chinese noodles. Here, we have employed it in sweetening this lovely Asian salad dressing.

Makes about 3/4 cup.


  • 2 Tbsp plum sauce
  • 1/4 c rice vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard


  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients until smooth and creamy. (This many also be done in a small food processor.)
  2. Place in a tightly sealed bottle and refrigerate for up to 1 week. Use on green salads or slaws.
