Piquant Asian Dipping Sauce


This sauce is wonderful with gyozas, pot-stickers, or even stir-fries.

Makes about one-third cup.


  • 1/2 Tbsp doujubang (chili bean sauce)
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed or grated
  • 1/2 inch ginger root, grated


  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and serve at room temperature.
