Making your own avocado dressing is a snap, and you avoid the preservatives and additives found in the store-bought variety.
Makes about 1 cup.
- 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and mashed
- 2 Tbsp water
- 4 Tbsp sour cream
- 3 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tsp dry mustard powder
- 1 tsp dry dill
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp season salt
- In a medium bowl or in a food processor, combine all the ingredients and blend until well mixed. (You can also use an immersion blender in this recipe.)
- Cover and chill in an airtight container for up to 2 days before using.
