Creamy Avocado Dressing

Creamy Avocado Dressing Making your own avocado dressing is a snap, and you avoid the preservatives and additives found in the store-bought variety.

Makes about 1 cup.


  • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and mashed
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 4 Tbsp sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dry mustard powder
  • 1 tsp dry dill
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp season salt


  1. In a medium bowl or in a food processor, combine all the ingredients and blend until well mixed. (You can also use an immersion blender in this recipe.)
  2. Cover and chill in an airtight container for up to 2 days before using.
