Buttermilk Dressing

Buttermilk DressingThis is a creamy dressing that is relatively low in fat and calories, yet tastes very rich and delicious.

Makes about 1 cup.


  • 1/4 c buttermilk
  • 1/4 c cottage cheese
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp dry dill
  • 1/2 tsp dry parsley
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender, small kitchen chopper, or food processor. Process until very creamy and smooth. If desired, add a few teaspoons of water and process until the consistency is runnier.
  2. Store in a tightly sealed bottle, cruet or refrigerator jar. Chill until served. Pour over green salads or serve with vegetable sticks as a dip. Use within a few days.
