I hate to waste the pickling liquid in a bottle of dill pickles. It is loaded with flavor that can be used to make this creamy Russian dressing.
Makes about 1 pint of dressing.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 c dill pickle packing liquid
- 1/2 c ketchup
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 1/4 c mayonnaise
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Directions:
- In a pint jar, blend all ingredients together until smooth.
- Serve over green salads or use as a dip for vegetable sticks. Refrigerate and use within 2 weeks.
