Grilled Tempeh

Whether you make your own Homemade Tempeh or buy it fresh, tempeh makes for a great vegetarian cook-out or grilled entree. Made from fermented soybeans, it is a high-protein product that will give you a sense of well-being.

Makes 8-10 slices.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz tempeh
  • 2 Tbsp miso
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp sriracha or hot sauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill or indoor grill pan on medium heat.
  2. Slice tempeh lengthwise in (8-10) half-inch pieces.
  3. Combine the miso, maple syrup, and sriracha in a small bowl.
  4. Spread each tempeh slice with the sauce on both sides. Place on the hot grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes, or until hot and marked with grilling stripes.
  5. Turn over and cook for another minute or two. Serve hot.
