Date Syrup Salad Dressing

Date Syrup Salad Dressing No added salt is needed in this mildly sweet salad dressing. It is full of flavor and gets even better if it rests a day or two.

Makes about 1 cup.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 Tbsp date syrup
  • 6 Tbsp malt vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp dry tarragon
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper

Directions:

  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl or shake in a tightly lidded bottle.
  2. For best results, allow to stand at room temperature a few hours. Serve on green salads (especially one with walnuts or pecans on top), as a marinade, or drizzled in a sandwich.
